Last November, after he got pissed off a Nike, Kanye West decided to team up with adidas to release his own line of shoes. It was previously reported that Kanye‘s shoe line for adidas wouldn’t be out until September but today we learn officially that the shoes will be out in June. The first shoe due out is called Yeezi but it is rumored that the full line of adidas shoes may be made up of about 20 different designs.
Those patiently awaiting the release of Kanye West‘s first collection of adidas footwear won’t have to wait much longer: despite originally confirming a September release for the collection – which is rumored to include as many as 20 West-helmed designs – the man himself has revealed that the collection’s flagship piece will be hitting stores even sooner. While performing today for the adidas Global Brand Conference in the Three Stripes’ own home of Germany, a Stan Smith-sporting ‘Ye revealed that the adidas “Yeezi” will be dropping this June. As I understand it, the very limited shoe that Kanye designed for Nike sold out instantly so I’m certain that this new line of shoes from adidas will be in as much demand. I can’t say that I’ve been impressed with Kanye‘s shoe designs for Louis Vuitton or Nike so I have a feeling these adidas won’t appeal to me … but they will appeal to others, I have no doubt.
