Yesterday the bombshell dropped that X-Men director Bryan Singer has been accused of sexually abusing a 17-year old boy in a lawsuit filed against him by the now 31-year old man. Today we learn that the full text of his sexual assault lawsuit leveled against Singer has been released online. The 13-page lawsuit is full of really shocking claims against Singer. In response to this suit, Bryan Singer has decided not to attend the WonderCon fan convention in Anaheim, CA this weekend to avoid any questions about this lawsuit. With the promo push for his new movie X-Men: Days of Future Past about to kick into high gear, it looks like Bryan will have to address the matter at some point soon.

Yeah, these claims are really serious. But, in his defense, Singer is now saying that he can prove that he was not in Hawai’i when this alleged sexual abuse took place:
Bryan Singer believes he has proof that will blow his sexual accuser out of the water … he was NOT in Hawaii during the period he allegedly committed a sexual assault. Michael Egan claims in a new lawsuit Singer anally raped him and forced hard drugs on him during 2 separate trips to Hawaii in August and October, 1999. Sources connected with Singer tell TMZ … the “X-Men” director has proof he was NOT in Hawaii during that period … he was in Toronto shooting the first “X-Men” movie. We’re told Singer will file credit card bills and various other documents proving he was in Toronto during the times in question. We know the movie itself was shot Sept. 22 – March 3 in Toronto, but there was pre-production and we’re told Singer was present.
I just don’t see how anything is going to be sorted out with any certainty. I have a feeling that this case will not make it far enough to trial for any semblance of a legal ruling to be handed down. We will likely never know the truth in any of this. My guess is that this matter will be resolved with some sort of settlement but, then again, it’s possible that the accuser could keep pushing forward until he gets his day in court. This legal conflict has only just begun. It’ll be interesting to see if other accusers come forward with claims and proof of their own.
