Beyonce shares pics from her family vacation to the Dominican Republic: cute?

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their sixth anniversary several days ago. And seeing as how their anniversary coincided quite nicely with the end of Beyonce’s Mrs. Carter Tour, Bey and Jay decided to go on holiday in the Dominican Republic. E! News says they were/are staying at the Casa de Compo resort, and Blue Ivy was there too of course. Jay was apparently spotted all over the place – one witness saw him pushing Blue Ivy on a swing, and another witness says that Jay told a Nets-t-shirt-wearing dude “cool shirt, man.”

So, of course Beyonce had to share the love. She posted a bunch of photos on her Tumblr from her beach vacation. Blue Ivy is getting so big! You can’t see Blue’s face of course, but Blue is getting longer. And I like Beyonce’s curls so much. She looks incredibly young without any makeup too – she looks like she’s about 16 years old in that photo in the tree.

Also, according to Hollywood Life’s sources (???),Kanye West’s asked Jay to be his best man and Jay was all “Nah, man.” Jay apparently doesn’t want to be associated with the downmarket Kardashians. But you know what? I bet you $10 that Beyonce and Jay attend Kanye and Kim’s wedding. But before that, we get the Met Gala. Will Beyonce be there? Will Kim?

PS… Did anyone else see that “Who is Jay-Z?” was the answer to Final Jeopardy on Tuesday? It was awesome.

The British Royal Family Has A Long History Of Posing For Photos As They Hang Out Of Windows

Yesterday we got to see the new official family portrait of Prince William, Kate Middleton and their son Prince George which the family posed for as they hung out a window of their home at Kensington Palace. I commented that the hanging out the window thing seemed a bit odd but because of how adorable the family — and especially 8 month old Prince George — looked, I didn’t really dwell on that supposed oddness. I’ve since learned, tho, that the British royal family has a tradition of hanging out windows for posed photographs so yesterday’s new photo is only the latest in this tradition of photos.

This photo of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Princess Ann was taken on September 28, 1952 at a window at Balmoral Castle in Scotland … and, as I understand it now, there are many like photos of the British royals posing for photos as they hang out windows:

I guess I felt these comparison photos were worth sharing because I assume that there are others out there who are as unfamiliar with the official photo posing habits of the British royal family and perhaps this enlightens a bit. I guess we cannot be surprised if posing for photos out windows becomes a thing, like on Instagram or something. You know it could happen.

Prince William, Kate Middleton & Prince George Release A New Family Photo

It’s been since February when we last laid eyes on wee Prince George Alexander Louis here on the blog and since October since we last saw Georgie‘s last official photograph. Today we get to check in on the young prince and his parents Prince William and Kate Middleton in a just-released new royal family photo that also features the family pooch Lupo. This new photo was released ahead of the family’s upcoming trip to Australia and New Zealand … and it’s really cute, if oddly posed. Check it out below.

Kensington Palace released a new family photograph of the royals on Saturday, featuring the beautiful 8-month-old with his beaming parents Prince William and Kate Middleton. The couple’s cocker spaniel, Lupo also makes a special appearance in the delightful photo. The photograph was taken by Jason Bell in mid-March and was unveiled ahead of the family’s upcoming tour to New Zealand and Australia. Bell also snapped the official portraits at Prince George’s royal christening at Clarence House in October 2013, which also happens to be the last time we had an official and good look at the tiny royal. The photograph features the family looking out of the window in Apartment 1A at Kensington Palace. The Duchess of Cambridge holds her son on her lap, while the Duke of Cambridge puts his arm around their pet pooch. This arrangement is the same as the photo taken in early August when Prince George was a few weeks old at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury, Berkshire. Prince George, with his perfect round cheeks and blond hair, looks absolutely precious in a personalized baby blue sweater paired with a white dress shirt. He comfortably rests his little hands on the ledge and gazes at Lupo. Lupo isn’t fixated on the little boy and is looking off in the distance. Kate looks chic in a crisp beige blouse and perfectly styled wavy locks, while William opted for a light blue dress shirt.

Wow, George looks so big. It’s crazy how fast time flies. Doesn’t it seem like Prince George was just born? Actually, doesn’t it seem like Wills and Kate just got married? WTH, time, why are you flying by so fast?! This family is already cute enough and then you toss in the pet dog? I can’t. Nice family you’ve got there, Willy. Here’s hoping they have a nice trip down unda :)
