Last week we got our first look at actor Robin Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot on the set of the upcoming Batman prequel series Gotham, giving us our first look at the man who will become The Penguin. Today, courtesy of the official Gotham Twitter profile, we get to check out the official promo photo for the character. As you may recall, we’ve thus far seen official promo photos for Selina Kyle, Harvey Bullock and Alfred Pennyworth. Today, we add Oswald Cobblepot to the collection.

Of the official photos released thus far, only the one of Selina Kyle seems interesting to me. Altho she is pre-Catwoman on the series, the photo that was released gives her a Catwoman vibe even tho she’s still a young girl. This photo of Oswald Cobblepot is just … meh. I know it may sound cliché but why didn’t they pose him with a monocle or a long cigarette filter? He’s not even holding an umbrella. I mean, I get that he’s not The Penguin yet but a prop or two to pay homage to the character he will eventually become might be nice.
